Getting the equipment right:
At Danvers Heating and Cooling, we use the latest formulas to calculate your exact needs for heating and cooling. The most important part about an estimate is to get the size of the system correct. Most people think bigger is better. A larger capacity system cools your home or business faster, but your wallet will not benefit from the even heating and cooling a properly sized system provides. During heating with an oversized system, the space will have hot and cold spots. During cooling, the space will not benefit from dehumidification resulting in a clammy and uncomfortable home. An oversized system will result in short cycling. Short cycling can cause a shorter lifespan of your system because of the constant starting and stopping. This results in higher energy costs, higher maintenance costs, and a general dissatisfaction with your system. We get it right the first time.
More expensive, larger systems bring larger profits at most HVACR companies. Most technicians have a sales goal to meet and are on a commission basis. Don't be fooled by introductory teaser rates. Those rates are usually followed by a large unnecessary repair bill brought on by company sales goals and sales commission. In fact, to sell certain brands, you have meet a quota. Annual Checkup:
This is a condenser. Your Condenser needs maintenance and cleaning every year. Leaves and debris need to be removed from inside it and dirt needs to be cleaned from the coils. It doesn't matter what type of fuel you use in your furnace: gas, oil, or propane. We do a combustion test with every heat service call. You will know your if your furnace is operating efficiently or not. If its not, we will let you know why. With fuel prices as high as they are, you want that information to make informed choices for yourself.
With every heat service call we will conduct an ambient carbon monoxide test in your home.
Our technicians are not on commission. Their only job is to repair your system, install your system correctly, and satisfy you, the customer.
This is a combustion analyzer. We put this on the side of your furnace to analyze how efficiently it is operating. Although this system is older, it is operating at maximum efficiency.
